I like desert settings tbf. But Tatooine's desert kinda sucks. It's 90% dunes, and only has arroyos and mountains etc when absolutely necessary to the plot. It just doesn't make sense for almost all of the people there to be out in the dunes. I still wish there was more done with the Sonoran and Chihuahua deserts. They're wetter than most, and have high diversity, but people don't like seeing real world deserts, they just want a giant litterbox.
