From the post:
Also, thanks to reddit admins for pressuring me out of this position. I had the intention of appointing moderators democratically but they pretty much are forcing us to appoint mods today and I refuse to go against the principles that I promised the community that I'd be doing. Huge fucking let down and I apologize for it.
This gives the staff even more direct control than usual over the narrative IMO
The head mods are all bankers and liberal democracy fetishists. Reddit’s won this cooption pretty thoroughly
Edit: btw r/WorkersRiseUp is where you oughta be directing people
Are you referring to the other three that are currently on the mod list? Dunno where they came from, but I can only assume the "in-crowd" of staff and mega-moderators are going to completely control that subreddit now, which is bad
Fuck, now THAT sub is showing as private.
I think the pretty good one was actually called /r/WorkersStrikeBack
When I created r/WorkReform I did NOT expect it to explode to near 500k members. This shit is giganormous and I simply do not have the qualifications to keep on going at this stage, there's too much to learn in such a small time frame that is being forced down my throat by the admins.
:surprised-pika:
I take a less harsh view, it sounds like he was absolutely being rushed or abused by the staff. I don't like this idea of some ordinary person just trying to make an alternative to the cringe, then getting demands from above to the extent that he's too stressed to function.
Yikes that's even more sus than the situation with the original mods
By the way, wasn't really clear which community to post this to, feel free to move it
You can always post anything to do with antiwork or /r/antiwork and associated boards in /c/agitprop :07:
Oh wow, as if the antiwork crowd wasn't already being thrown into chaos, lol
