Comments are absolutely disgusting. Why would china need to send tourists as spies? Spies for what exactly? Acting like people don't just self document their every waking step on the internet for likes and follows.
Westerners are just coping and seething and projecting their own espionage incompetence onto China.
The CIA’s spies in China were all exposed and imprisoned or executed and now they cope by thinking China is stupid enough to be caught by YouTubers and the website that accused a random guy of being the Boston bomber.
I did see one little pocket of sanity about 1/2 way down the comments where someone pointed out how there is no other information having to do with this whole thing other than this one guy and his obviously unhinged youtube videos. Several other people commented about how they thought they were the only ones who saw it was just another reddit witch hunt, and one even expressed surprise at the reddit hivemind's willingness to witch hunt based on what appears to be nationalism/racism.
There are always a few who are slightly more aware than the others but not enough to stay away from the site yet.
