i got ahold of a copy and really want to get into it but i just haven't been able to yet. seems like one of those games where i need to get used to the UI before i can do anything else.

It's really not for everyone, but if you give it a solid 3 hours you will likely get sucked in. The world is immersive and the level of freedom is damn near unmatched in modern open world games

hmm yeah i'll give it another shot when i get the craving again. i usually love sandboxy, dense simulation type games and the whole like single player Ultima-online thing is really intriguing.

I was really taken aback by the game at first: reviews said it could be hard getting your feet under you at first (and the game tells you point blank “you’re not special, don’t act like a hero” when you start)

But literal starving bandits caved my chest in within the first 5 minutes and I just sat there dying for like 10 minutes, reloaded, and died again in pretty much the same way. It was an interesting first hour

I think the third time I didnt die and would go on to sink hundreds of hours in, but… yeah, what a start lol. I was hooked right away tho 👀
