personally i think it would be a terrible idea. even if he wasn't up to some shit he would for sure get really weird about something
Odds are, that's how his views went from mainstream left-Zeonism to the esoteric Newtype futurism of the post-Zeta Gundam world.
a friend recently did psychedelics for the first time and when trying to describe what it was like ze said it was like when lalah said she could see through time
Grungy, New Yark City vibe background
Amuro lurking around the corner
Yeah, this is some "blame it on the misfortune of your birth" level narc shit about to happen
either that or its the worst blunt rotation the universal century could possibly aim for. they'd have to add like. gihren to it to make it worse
Nightmare 0079 blunt rotation: Char, Amuro, Gihren, Tem Rey, almost any other adult character
bright is there, not smoking or anything just being a cop in the corner
Knowing next to nothing about Gundam, isn't this the guy they based FFXIV's Nero tol Scaeva off of
this isn't actually a good summary of char's whole deal (you should just watch gundam 0079 for that*, this definitely misrepresents some stuff) but it gives a good idea of how far reaching his influence is (and nero tol scaeva is on there)
*and you should do that! it's a really good show and you don't have to watch anything made after, though they're there if you like
There's some stuff going on with this lmao.
RRR (2022): Rama Raju is an Indian officer serving the British Raj and their equivalent to Bheem in terms of combat capability (although when the two first meet, neither knows who the other is and they immediately become friends). Ram is also a Dragon with an Agenda whose goal is to capture Bheem so he can secure a promotion to Special Officer, in order to be in a position where he can steal a shipment of firearms to give to his village to fight back, and to kill the British governor and avenge his father. For bonus points, when Ram does become a Special Officer, he gets a red uniform.
Marco Inaros of The Expanse has too many similarities to CCA-era Char to be a coincidence, being a Visionary Villain who orders a massive asteroid attack on Earth in retaliation for their mistreatment of the space colonies while giving dramatic speeches about those born in space being the future of humanity who alone can rise above the mistakes of the past. This was not lost on the TV series' costuming department, who saw fit to give him an outfit with a giant golden eagle on the front invoking the winged motifs typical of Zeon military dress.
Street Fighter: Ken Masters has blonde hair and a red gi to contrast with Ryu's brown hair and white gi; Yoshiki Okamoto has stated Ryu's opposite was purposely given a Char look.
the expanse one seems legit (like, i know the writers say they don't know shit about gundam, but that's a lot of parallels!) and if a lead dev said "we were going for a char look for ken" i think you gotta admit that probably counts
a lot of the examples on the page are big stretches though, like i really don't see the rrr one. guys who are working for the villains but want revenge are not inherently char coded!
Antagonist or deuteragonist wearing red or a mask
Is this a Char?
I think I'm already trippin because amuro's legs are looking reverse jointed
He's like a pokemon, but his legs get more normal as he evolves
