The medium backgro actors were like...pretty much exclus Phillipino as well because they needed a quick and easy way to do the makeup. The designer kinda accidentally figured it out while doing makeup tests that just skin tone and general facial structure it was the safest bet and would minimize sending extras away and needing replacements or doing custom makeup for several hundred people. He was like, super hesitant to bring it up as a solution and did really try to figure a way around it.
