If the Dems started imprisoning their political opponents it might be the first thing they've done that shows even an inkling of savvy.

This is my biggest disappointment about the Democratic party. They can't get their shit together. It's incredibly frustrating.

They won’t. It’s not even the whole “the enemy is both weak and strong” shit. They just won’t wield their power because it breaks Da Rulez. They’re not weak. They’re not hiding their power levels. They just refuse to do anything because then they’ll “be no better than the enemy”.

Compelling question. Honestly I think it's a mentality thing.

Democrats have so many divergent goals that they never want to unify. They see shades of gray.

Republicans see only black and white. It's very easy for them to organize and unify.

It's easy to believe that it's some kind of design, maybe easier to believe than the fact that infighting and poor organization skills keep the Democratic party from dominating like demographics would suggest it should.

Surely there are more reasons than I know though.

Well they do imprison political opponents, like the ones that protested against cop city and the construction of oil pipelines in indigenous land.

Or any of the George Floyd protestors.
