Nothing in the text would surprise anybody here but it was a reminder to me that there's surely a bunker mentality in the White House because we live in an insane era and it's an election year.

Probably every single person who could suggest stuff to Biden even 2nd or 3rd hand is a political operative. I'm shocked the plan wasn't killed months ago. Centrist dems don't even pretend to have empathy in private.
