My favorite meal of the day, food wise. Anyone else like a good breakfast? I usually do a bagel/egg/cheese/hot sauce sandwich.
During the week I meal prep hummus and eat that on toasted flatbread I usually make on Sunday afternoon. On the weekends I make a nice tofu scramble with veggies and hot sauce
Breakfast is great
Ooooo I remember your tofu! You mastered the good scramble texture!
I feel kind of sick to my stomach in a way until around noon
I do intermittent fasting and I hate this thread with a burning, starving passion
I'm just being a dick lol
Breakfast time is an arbitrary concept, nothing keeps me from eating delicious scrambled eggs and toast at 5PM :)
My other favorite is what I like to call huevos casi rancheros, a couple fried eggs with beans, some chopped herbs and a dash of hot sauce... they're not legit rancheros because I'm usually too lazy to cook sauce, and the eggs and beans are already delicious enough. It's my favorite when I want breakfast for dinner :bean:
I'm sorry comrade, I'm diagnosing you with a bad case of breakfastitis
It really fucking sucks at the beginning, but becomes automatic and surprisingly easy after a while... I went to my boxing lesson at lunchtime today while fasted and didn't notice any decrease in performance if I compare the feeling to how it used to be before I started my IF thing.
5 scrambled eggs on toast w olive oil bc I'm bulking :arm-L::chefs-kiss::arm-R:
Anything in the eggs, or just straight? Usually if I'm doing up more than 2-3 eggs at a time, I'll add herbs/spice blends or some cheese
Just salt, i just really like the taste of eggs and olive oil lol
If you're feeling real fancy try it w some pesto instead of just olive oil. Pesto egg sandwiches are awesome
Will try that out, sounds delicious! I do tend to go more savory for breakfast, so that sounds like a nice change from the usual brown sugar or peach flavored oatmeal.
Hell yeah, if anyone doesn't know Bob's red mill is the good kind of red.
100% worker owned. Bob
wasis pretty based, damn he's still alive and he's still working at 91.
Oooo that sounds yummy! If it were me, I'd add peanut butter too!
My latest breakfast indulgence is peanut butter (yes) mixed into yogurt.
My husband thinks it’s gross so I’m seeking validation. :comfy-cool:
Makes sense to me. A little unorthodox, but I see no reason why it can't be great.
A big ass bowl of frozen blueberries, sliced up bananas, pecans, and peanut butter, wash it down with some coffee. The only reason why I wake up in the morning tbh...
Don't usually feel hungry until part way through morning; use to just eat a granola bar around 9, but recently switched to protein power drink. Don't like all the sugary flavors, so at a recommendation from here, just have plain soy protein isolate.
Have big bento box lunches though, and breakfast for dinner is great.
My favorite breakfast is one my ex taught me that I have since honed to a sharp edge. Sourdough toast + a pile of arugula + bleu or feta crumbles + an over medium egg. A little hot sauce rounds things out.
Usually I have it with two or three eggs over two pieces of toast. Just a great reason to stay alive.
Variations on a breakfast sandwich are what sustain me.
When I have the time I make a full farmer's breakfast, but during the work week it's overnight oats every day. Learning how to work with oatmeal and make it flavourful is surprisingly easy and with my job I can't afford to skip breakfast
I know full english breakfasts and stuff like that, but have not heard of a full farmer's. What makes it up?
Eggs, potatoes, sausage, onions, and maybe a little cheese if you're feeling it. Scramble them all together over the stove and you've got yourself breakfast. Might have a different name in different places but it's basically scrambled eggs with some good fix-in's
At my university, I've had the same breakfast nearly every day of egg, some delicious veggie sausage, hot sauce + ketchup, and I've loved it, to the shock of everyone I know
That sounds like a good breakfast. I did the same thing pretty much, just made a sandwich out of it.
