Not I! I was totally cynical in 2008. I was living in Japan at the time and my neighbour was from Florida (I'm Canadian and was overseas so I was perhaps quite insolated from the hype). He was OVER THE MOON that Obama got elected, not just becaues he was black, which was admittedly a milestone of note, but because he thought real substantive change was coming. I just said let's wait and see. He thought I was being a real asshole for raining on his parade, but here we are today.
