    honestly I cannot listen to more than 10 seconds of Sorkin's screenwriting. I absolutely hate his gimmick where the hero character is making points, talking especially fast, and the slow-witted dolt trying in vain to keep up repeats one of the points, only to get it wrong. Then the hero coolly and calmly corrects them. This is the cue for the viewer to go: "Damnnnn." This rhetorical trick he uses fuckin sucks. It must be the progenitor of the "epic clapback" discourse on twitter

      I hate his "walk and talk" style as well. Once you realize its just a trick to make the dialog seem more important and to make the lives of these glorified orators seem busy it all falls apart. There is nothing wrong with having a "walk and talk" segment. It just becomes grating when you realize its a crutch. Your mind believes these liberals are going somewhere when the reality is that liberalism aspires to run exclusively on treadmills.
