Not even inspired by a real person, just a fictional character. Reminds me of when that Iranian official/religious leader of some kind said how the US only have fictional heroes like Spongebob

What few "real heroes" we do have are war criminals like Chris Kyle or John McCain. I think it's for the best we keep our heroes fictional

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rob_Lowe

In 1988, Lowe, who was 24 years old at the time, was involved in a sex scandal over a videotape of him having sex with a 16-year-old girl that he had met in a nightclub. They were videotaped the night before the Democratic National Convention in Atlanta, Georgia. As the age of consent in Georgia was 14 at the time (until 1995 when it was raised to 16), both were of legal age to engage in sexual activity, although 18 was the legal age to be involved in such a recording.[69] At the time, Lowe was campaigning for Michael Dukakis.[70][71] Eventually, his career rebounded and Lowe mocked his own behavior during two post-scandal appearances as host of Saturday Night Live.[72]

    They really can't help themselves.

Someone once said that Psaki is trying to act as West Wing character and I guess that was stupid enough to be true.

honestly I cannot listen to more than 10 seconds of Sorkin's screenwriting. I absolutely hate his gimmick where the hero character is making points, talking especially fast, and the slow-witted dolt trying in vain to keep up repeats one of the points, only to get it wrong. Then the hero coolly and calmly corrects them. This is the cue for the viewer to go: "Damnnnn." This rhetorical trick he uses fuckin sucks. It must be the progenitor of the "epic clapback" discourse on twitter

I hate his "walk and talk" style as well. Once you realize its just a trick to make the dialog seem more important and to make the lives of these glorified orators seem busy it all falls apart. There is nothing wrong with having a "walk and talk" segment. It just becomes grating when you realize its a crutch. Your mind believes these liberals are going somewhere when the reality is that liberalism aspires to run exclusively on treadmills.
