The oat (Avena sativa), sometimes called the common oat, is a species of cereal grain grown for its seed, which is known by the same name (usually in the plural, unlike other cereals and pseudocereals). While oats are suitable for human consumption as oatmeal and rolled oats, one of the most common uses is as livestock feed.
They're really good, is what I'm saying.

I wonder what the percentage of masc to fem anime protagonists is. It feels so much more common to see a guy as the main character. Also good luck finding an enby, agender, ect protagonist. I can think of one manga I read that had a enby main character that was actually handled pretty well but that's about it. I'm sure there's more, but like I shouldn't have to look this hard for it lol
I don't mind watching straight shit from a guy's point of view, but I'd like some better fem and LGBTQ+ representation too

Tbh I can't even think about an anime with a trans protagonist that I've seen... I've seen one show with a trans character, but that's all I remember. I'm not much of a manga reader, though I feel there's a better chance of seeing LGBTQ+ stories in manga? The few yuri manga I've read have been pretty good
I figured that would be an issue. Some of the translation word choices I've seen have been pretty sus lol
At the very least there are some good shows with fem protagonists, so I suppose that's a start (even if they're straight 🤮)

I've tried checking out webtoons before and something about the presentation / typical art style puts me off. I can try giving it another chance, because I'm sure it's not all exactly the same. The other problem is I enjoy watching it way more lol. Do you have any recommendations?

Thank you! :) I'll start trying them out
This show has trans protagonists. https://myanimelist.net/anime/8426/Hourou_Musuko
I only watched a few episodes when it was airing, and I was in high school at the time, so I don't remember much about it.
Ahh I actually have heard of that. I heard some mixed reactions from trans comrades, so I haven't checked it out. Maybe I will add that to my list
there was a time when isekai anime almost always had a fem protagonist
that time coincided with the genre not being universally creepy and shit
i wonder why
:thonk:
I am shocked I tell you
What's annoying is sometimes they do full-female casts but it's seemingly only because they want more girls to sexualize :/
Pretty much lol and nothing substantial actually comes from the cast besides baity fan service stuff

Thanks for the info! I've been keeping my anime consumption to a low lately but if there's stuff out there that isn't creepy towards women that would be awesome lol
