This has to be one of the more concentrated mysogynistic threads on reddit where the vast majority of comments are just FALLING over themselves to try and make these women look bad for 1) having qualifications in STEM fields and 2) asserting that they are, in fact, women.

It's just textbook misogyn-envy where the impotent redditors are both jealous of the positions they have and feel the need to shut these women down at all costs, lest they feel inferior.

Same energy as "Women comedian aren't funny and all they do is talk about sex".

Also, why shouldn't they promote being all women in STEM since that's one of the most disgustingly misogynistic space?

Prime example of how STEMlords think that the scientific method resides in a vacuum, and that sociocultural tendencies don't seep into your work. The level of illiteracy in terms of the humanities amongst the STEM crowd is astounding to me, and that includes leftists too.

The comments about this being self promotion and how this podcast is no different than others is also funny. Of course it's self promotion you imbeciles, it's a goddamn AMA. And of course there are thousands of other podcasts; except when you are part of a specific subset of males in society (STEM), it's hard for you to see why having woman in these areas is important, and why they probably will have perspective that you haven't encountered.
