So there I am, driving through the city, which is depressing enough because no train (American), and the bus doesn't go out to my suburb. As I'm navigating around with the other exhausted workers piloting 2 ton chunks of steel, I look up and I see it. A highrise office/bank building lit up it's sign with blue and yellow. I roll my eyes, momentarily looking over the skyline, and another goddamn corporate building lit up their light feature with blue and yellow. Why is this hell world so lame?

Makes sense that it works so well on populations that focus much of their life around media. The developed world relies so heavily on media that it easily shapes their world view and they just accept it without question.

i remember reading something from Graeber how there used to be groups of early humans who were INTENSELY grillpilled :grillman: and would basically just do that but innawoods. When one of violent tribes would come close they would all just run away and be like "fuck all that, I just wanna grill"

Uhhg, just scrolled past the local city subreddit... They're lighting up other local icons with blue and yellow. Feels like Iraq levels of manufacturing consent again.

The US is collectively, emotionally preparing for a hot war with Russia. Even if it doesn't happen, people are psyching themselves up for it.

Like there was a segment on CNN today where Anderson Cooper talked to a Ukranian woman who supposedly wished the US would come save her. If that's not us putting the war paint on I don't know what is.

Try not to get so overly sceptical that you stop believing even the logical parts of media reports. yea the piece is designed to build consent but I wouldn't doubt that a whole lot of Ukrainian's would love the west to turn this into a hot war just to spite Russia at this point. It's not like this is another Nayirah testimony.
