The platypus (Ornithorhynchus anatinus), sometimes referred to as the duck-billed platypus, is a semiaquatic, egg-laying mammal endemic to eastern Australia, including Tasmania. The platypus is the sole living representative or monotypic taxon of its family (Ornithorhynchidae) and genus (Ornithorhynchus), though a number of related species appear in the fossil record.
Together with the four species of echidna, it is one of the five extant species of monotremes. It is one of the few mammals that lay eggs instead of giving birth to live young. Like other monotremes, it senses prey through electrolocation. It is one of the few species of venomous mammals, as the male platypus has a spur on the hind foot that delivers a venom, capable of causing severe pain to humans. The unusual appearance of this egg-laying, duck-billed, beaver-tailed, otter-footed mammal baffled European naturalists when they first encountered it, and the first scientists to examine a preserved platypus body (in 1799) judged it a fake, made of several animals sewn together.
Nature is a comrade, and she remains undefeated all-time. Animals rock.

if the simpsons must continue at least do something interesting with it
A season where the first few episodes have Homer do self-improvement and go through major character development, only for things to return to the status quo next episode without any explanation. Then in one episode, he realizes what has happened, and the rest of the season switches genre from comedy to existential horror as he tries and fails to change anything.
I'm imagining a finally where Homer is driven insane by this, dies, convinces God (a stand in for the writers) to let him stay in heaven, then it is revealed to the audience that God is actually just a character as well and the true overlords are the Fox executives who send Homer down for another season.
i imagine it going something like this
idk kill grandpa or let homer work through his alcoholism and child abuse, do something
it's supposed to be a critique on the average american. the average american would have to work through their alcoholism and child abuse first.
of all the things in the simpsons that should change, the man strangling his own son is probably one of them
that ned flanders fargo episode was pretty good. and there was one where comic book guy got over his bullshit.
two in the last 400, not a very good ratio...
