The platypus (Ornithorhynchus anatinus), sometimes referred to as the duck-billed platypus, is a semiaquatic, egg-laying mammal endemic to eastern Australia, including Tasmania. The platypus is the sole living representative or monotypic taxon of its family (Ornithorhynchidae) and genus (Ornithorhynchus), though a number of related species appear in the fossil record.
Together with the four species of echidna, it is one of the five extant species of monotremes. It is one of the few mammals that lay eggs instead of giving birth to live young. Like other monotremes, it senses prey through electrolocation. It is one of the few species of venomous mammals, as the male platypus has a spur on the hind foot that delivers a venom, capable of causing severe pain to humans. The unusual appearance of this egg-laying, duck-billed, beaver-tailed, otter-footed mammal baffled European naturalists when they first encountered it, and the first scientists to examine a preserved platypus body (in 1799) judged it a fake, made of several animals sewn together.
Nature is a comrade, and she remains undefeated all-time. Animals rock.

Ahhhhhh slurped some spaghetti and it whipped up into my eyeball oooowwww
why do people still insist on telling me that wrestling is fake when i tell them i'm a fan
I mean, I sort of get it. It's hard for me not to tell people that electoralism is fake when they tell me they're a fan. 💀
do they really think i don't know or something? do they wait outside the globe theatre and tell them that actually it's fake, romeo and juliet aren't really star-crossed lovers? fuck off
batman is more realistic than wrestling. there is a very visible billionaire vs. lumpen war.
the billionaire vince mcmahon vs the lumpen stone cold steve austin
that moment where mcmahon thinks they're gonna make a deal but he gets the kick in the stomach and the stunner and austin drinks a bunch of beer had me wishing americans were more like their heroes.
LABOR IS ENTITLED TO ALL IT CREATES
AND THATS THE BOTTOM LINE CAUSE STONE COLD SAID SO!
if you think private property should be abolished gimme a hell yeah!
if the simpsons must continue at least do something interesting with it
A season where the first few episodes have Homer do self-improvement and go through major character development, only for things to return to the status quo next episode without any explanation. Then in one episode, he realizes what has happened, and the rest of the season switches genre from comedy to existential horror as he tries and fails to change anything.
I'm imagining a finally where Homer is driven insane by this, dies, convinces God (a stand in for the writers) to let him stay in heaven, then it is revealed to the audience that God is actually just a character as well and the true overlords are the Fox executives who send Homer down for another season.
idk kill grandpa or let homer work through his alcoholism and child abuse, do something
it's supposed to be a critique on the average american. the average american would have to work through their alcoholism and child abuse first.
of all the things in the simpsons that should change, the man strangling his own son is probably one of them
that ned flanders fargo episode was pretty good. and there was one where comic book guy got over his bullshit.
two in the last 400, not a very good ratio...
its getting increasingly difficult to see how im ever gonna build a life worth living from where i'm at right now
Wish I could be that zen, but my anxiety-infested brain just won't allow it.
Oooh, ok. Yeah, see that I can do sometimes. Voluntarily or not, it's not a bad strategy while it lasts. (Dissociative drugs are great for this too.)
I really don't see much of a future in the USA and yet I'm stuck here. I think things are just going to continue slowly getting worse.
It's so funny how back in 2001 everyone was freaking out about project for a new american century, that the USA was going to become this unstoppable evil empire. How'd that one turn out?
Every time I have to fill out a form that tries to be gender inclusive I get irrationally frustrated. This one is asking for my "gender" and then, separately with different options, my "gender identity." What? The first question ("gender") is clearly intending to ask about sex instead since it offers male/female/mtf/ftm/nb, but it doesn't have intersex. That one is only in the "gender identity" dropdown. It's literally in the suffix of the word, people. If you were actually intersex you'd have to go "other" + "intersex" as your "gender" and "gender identity" which, ironically, would offer zero information about your actual gender! PLUS the "gender identity" drop down has literally the exact same options as the "gender" one but with added ones like "two spirit" - no "man" or "woman" - it's still "male," "trans male," "female," and "trans female." THOSE STILL AREN'T GENDERS THOSE ARE SEXES. My gender is the same as a trans woman's because we are literally both women that is THE ENTIRE FUCKING POINT

I bought a couple thigh highs made out of this fluffy soft fleecy material and let me tell you, one of the best purchases I've made in months.
Is there a need for every long running cartoon series featuring children to end with them as adults? I read some review about Arthur's ending saying that it made the audience feel validated or something because the characters are now their own age. Idk but I really didn't care or need to see Arthur as a grown man. It could have ended with him in high school and I feel like that'd be more fitting.
end it with him graduating to the fourth grade or whatever. I'm with you.
Why not with his funeral and a time-lapse of his corpse rotting in the coffin? Kids love that shit.
Finished dont look up god damn how boring.
Also, terrible metaphor for climate change, almost wishful thinking that it would be this apocalyptic shared revelatory moment instead of just a slow decline that hits the people furthest from the western public eye first and worst.
But mostly, just boring drama and unfunny comedy.
Yeah I really disliked it. Watched it with my lib parents and they thought it was somewhat funny… to me the humor just felt vapid, didn’t go far enough. If there had been any incisiveness to the comedy or the plot it would’ve been welcome over the garbage heap that was
