I dunno how much we can blame that on capital specifically. Like yes in a vague sense because capital creates tge alienated conditions and baseline distrust under which we live, but also capital desperately wanted people to get vaccinated to re open the economy and their fascist high just refused. So I dunno.
I'd say it's still capital's fault just on a wider scale and longer timeline. If there wasn't so much distrust in medical institutions and the government as a whole, we wouldn't have as many anti-vaxxers. We also wouldn't have as many late/unboosted vaxxers if people had reliable transport to get their vaccine and guaranteed time off to be sick afterwards.
I don't disagree, but I hesitate to ascribe blame in an agency sense to this like I would an active op by govt or private institutions. It's more just stochastic capitalism. I guess that is the nuance I am kind of feeling. I don't think any of the pandemic, or inflation for that manner, is intentional its just bog standard capitalism lurching from disaster to disaster.
Bloomer take: hopefully this boils over into a protracted people's war against the government
Realistic take: this is gonna lead to a spike in mass shootings and nothing else
protracted people’s war against the government
Yes please.
Need more treats to cope.
But the treat costs are going up
Good thing my lithium doesn't have me feeling anything anymore lol
Huh, it's almost like the social fascism that the New Deal Democrats saddled us with was always going to crumble on us like all their infrastructure that hasn't been maintained since then
