      Wait, this person is German and lives in Germany, and they don't understand that Hitler did all of the things that they're alleging he didn't? They should know better than me, someone who hasn't left my own state in the last ten years.

        Eh, even German Libs and conservatives have a very shallow understanding of history. They know more about Hitler and the Nazis compared to Americans just because of how low of a bar that is.

        Its even more "fun" he was member of the pirate party and very closely associated to the CCC the german computer club. The pirate party got even voted into the state parliament and he was one of the elected officials, since then it went downhill with him (but there wasn't really any highpoint before either).

        He is extremely chauvinistic, classist, ableist and as you see Nazi relativistic.

      I never got why "fighting to the bitter end" would be a good thing to do. Surrendering when facing certain defeat sounds like the ethical thing to do when that means avoiding further death and destruction.
