    If a moral person was forced at gunpoint to be a landlord wouldn't the rent just be mortgage and a small fund for repairs or insurance? I mean aside from taking the bullet.

    This puts to bed the capitalist argument that landlords are good actually because they provide a service of sorts. And that's what they charge for.

    The idea is that they are making life easy for tenants in regards to repairs and maintenance. That's what they say right like well renting is easier than owning a house you don't have to deal with repairs. You call the landlord and next thing you know it's fixed. Of course that's seldom true and instead you pay all your money to live in a shit hole while people make their boat payments. Scum

    I was lucky and basically had the ideal when I was in college. Rent from an old lady who had an extra tiny house she'd bought for her now adult son. Cheap rent. Any repairs I needed to make deducted from rent immediately. No worries. But of course that's not the norm.
