I love how there are people who think that Elon Musk is a genius of our time, but really he's just a drug addict with godly line of credit.

I wish I was a drug addict with a godly line of credit.

why do they keep calling it "loop"? It's a fucking car tunnel! You don't need to create a special name for it

Public transit already fucking sucks here so of course they are doing this. There are parts of town where the bus runs so infrequently that you have to tell the bus company you need them to pick you up the day before you ride

This level of service is pretty much the norm in the US for a town with less than ~75k.

Also our roads are a complete shit show, it’s unbelievable to spend money on this dumb shit there so much of our infrastructure in Texas needed to be updated 20 years ago to just be like decent lol

Are Americans allergic to trains or something? Are they physically incapable of doing something while not conSOOMING at the same time?

Time was, the progressive cry was "Workers of the world unite!" or "Power to the people!" Now it is less resonant: "All aboard!"

How did this trash even get published? This reads like A Modest Proposal except it seems to be in earnest.

Car companies hold a monopoly on passenger ground transport. It's that simple. We're completely captured by car companies and related firms like oil and gas. The American people have no say in the matter what so ever. Transport decisions are made based on what is most lucrative for the car industry.

The more time goes by, the more I’m baffled that people still buy into Silicon Valley hype.

I'm more baffled than ever and I started noticing what a pile of destructive ruinous bullshit it was in the late 90s.

This system shit the bed during a convention. You know what? This would be a great system for an airport :big-cool:

Absolute insanity that this shitty system is being used instead of an off the shelf airport people mover system, much better suited for the use case.

Finally we can have public transport except expensive, shitty, and with basically no throughput.

America is everything it claimed about the soviet union, but shittier and more expensive.
