I'll keep saying it; The end goal of Lebensraum and the invasion of the Soviet Union was to enslave and then exterminate all Slavic people. Really you can justify pretty much anything to yourself, history is so vast you can only choose the parts you like and interpret them in a way you like.
Oh and another part of the reasoning is often bringing up how slavs have lots of athletic and scientific accomplishments, therefore they're pretty much aryans and not like those that belong to "those bad races who never do anything productive".
i imagine the redditors don't actually know the stronghold of nazis is in west ukraine. I've literally run into libs who think East Germany is where all the nazis were.

They're not wrong. There were 8 million Nazi party members in Germany at the end of the war, so East Germany likely had 2-4 million Nazis.
