I know, I worry for my neighbors. One family who I'm not sure where they're from but mom wears a hijab, and a sweet old lady from Iran. I've tried to assure them I have their backs and I don't know what else to do.
I have been thinking about my neighbors a lot during this week. Most of them are older Jamaican/Arab/Indian folks who live alone and are 100% dependent on cars to keep themselves alive. If shit hits the fan and supply chains get harmed, all these people will basically starve. Fucking horrible to think about
Yeah I'm lucky to live near one of the biggest ag centers in the country but that just means if this shit heats up this place is going to be a literal warzone in the ensuing struggle for control of production.
