Went to look up "Are US electrical outlets usually grounded" and stumbled right into the consent factory like Mr Magoo
Do you have cool proper laser goggles that are rated for use with your cool laser?
Just making sure that you know (and I'm sure you do but still, just in case lol)that different lasers require different goggles, there's not really an all purpose kind unless you got dat faaaancy shit, so that might be rated for a much more powerful laser, but if it's the wrong wavelength ur fucked
Lasers are so cool but I'm too scared to dare fuck with them lmao, godspeed comrade! instead I just watch this freak's videos
I read your comment, then immediately went and double checked the numbers lol. Luckily it all checks out, from the wavelength number to the price tag. It was actually styropyro and his laser weapons that attracted me to it in the first place, as well as showing the horrifying power of The Beam. These days im more interested in what I can create with it
Oh sick! gonna mess with some engraving/ pattern burning/ cutting?
oh yeah, with a couple upgrades this thing can cut glass, as well as create things like photo realistically 3D engraved grip panels from all sorts of exotic materials. Turns out that juma, the iridescent stuff in the handles of pool cues, is rad as hell and can be bought by the slab. Bone and horn, too
WHAT, yo, hmu if you ever open commissions lmao, I've got some ideas
I'm happy to open commissions as soon as I feel comfortable on the laser. I'll send you a dm just so I have the little reminder easily accessible
well if there are american fuckery specialists over in ukraine right now they'll be in places safe and away from major fighting because they know if they (or their dead bodies) get caught in-country then the extra fun times might start
I actually doubt that, most likely course of action for fuckery specialists over there is to help act as force multipliers for standard Ukrainian forces. There's probably green berets over there helping train soldiers and insurgent paramilitary forces over there in safe zones, also probably leading excursions eastwards to set up caches of supplies to help set up stay-behind operations. But for actual wetwork operations, I find the possibility very low as the risk that operatives could be captured and be identified as american saboteurs leading to a possible escalation of force outweighs any sort of gains that could be acquired from deploying wetwork fuckery specialists.
I wouldn't exactly be surprised, US special forces are in fighting in like a dozen countries at any given point
My house was built in 1952 with fabric conduit, all the original wiring is ungrounded. You can tell because the conduit says "no ground" on it. Some of the newer circuits that got ran are grounded but not all of them. I have outlets with three prongs that aren't grounded :stirner-shocked:
All major appliances (fridge, dishwasher, microwave, oven, washer/dryer) are on grounded circuits so I don't worry about it too much
I really don't think it's a good idea for anyone reading this info for the first time to expose a live wire and touch it
Edit: if you have a DMM that can test for circuit continuity you could also just use that to see if the ground (green typically) and neutral (white typically) are electrically continuous with the circuit breaker for that outlet/fixture off.
