I can't remember what they were even supposed to be doing in Guatemala, just that the team was supposed to be rescuing someone?
The initial reason is that they are rescuing some minister, but they were lied to by Dillon/the CIA who really brought them there because they were trying to stop a Soviet-backed invasion, or something.
