This is also what the slow breakup of the US is gonna look like. The current court system and especially SCOTUS has a heavy bias towards "non-interference". This was the obvious result of that Texas law and they still decided to do nothing. The courts will scream "if you don't like it then pAsS a LaW!!!" all the while the US completely breaks down.
Though I do worry that if the courts ever decide to get active again, it will be to enforce fascism nationally.

But both directions assist in balkanization, so the point stands anyways.

rightly so that's what a court is unelected judges who have their position for life handing out the legislation they think best is no way to run a country. The politicians should pass a law and to do so they should actively try and convince people not to oppose abortion
