Like the title says, I'm looking for long video essays that are good for a listen. Any topic is welcome.
Specifically the vaccine video. I never knew exactly what happened with the Andrew Wakefield "study" before that so it was really eye opening to watch Hbomberguy peel back layer after rotten layer of lies
just posted on another thread - line goes up
very good essay about all the different ways that crypto and nfts are fucked up (some which you probably werent aware of)
All the cushvlogs by Bhagavan Shri Matt Christman from chapo, starting from the bottom of the playlist. Do it coward.
Sarah Z recently made a video about how Idiocracy is cringe https://hexbear.net/post/183787
Shaun over the US WW2 nukes against Japan.
It is a very good primer on the whole subject you'll learn a lot about to have at least a somewhat educated discussion on the topic. Even if you already thought the nukes were bad it is still worth learning about the political background, like it is good to know that even within the US army some important people were very against it.
Everything by Prolekult who are incredibly underrated. Their content takes a lot longer to make than anyone else so they get much less visibility.
they have a good discord too for patrons. and I like how they limit donations to $1/mo per user.
strong non-grift vibes
Their intent is to pay themselves a salary and everything over that will be used to pay extra people or other things. This is exactly how leftist "influencers" should operate run so that they don't eventually become petty-bourgeoise with size and success. I don't actually mind the donation amounts, I do think they should offer other tiers even if those tiers are identical just to offer people a visual indication that you can pay more. I don't think intentionally limiting it is sensible as it limits their potential growth. But with that all said I personally consider them the best leftist channel that exists, I just wish there was a lot more of it though I'm aware that the quality is pretty much caused by not churning it out.
Yeah in terms of giving them more money I've already patronized them on three distinct accounts, so that's an option.
I think the current necessity of having to fund social change in effect is innately imperfect but the way they are spinning it is interesting.
If you've already been searching for such things, then you're probably already familiar with some of the following but:
Formerly DemocraticSocialist01
A presentation RE: Theodore Allen and his book "The Invention of the White Race"
New Sophie from Mars about conspiracies has quote reads from all our favs
Sophie: "I'm going to read three different academic theories on conspiracy theories to prove that anti-imperialists are cranks."
I listened to this while I was doing chores / cooking and legitimately felt drained and dumber when I was done with it. e.g. I already thought Maupin was a freakish ghoul because of his bad vibes and wack-ass suits, then my brain was burdened with concrete knowledge. It was done well, just... A LOT
That being said, Sophie is awesome and I love a lot of her other videos
Her new video on Twin Peaks is good as well, though some of the streamer bits are a little cringe and I think she was reaching a little in some of her connections to Silence of the Lambs. But the explanation of how Twin Peaks was a reaction to the TV of the day was really compelling, and I have hopes for The Return.
Yeah, that was also a really good video, and I totally forgot there's going to be a part 2. :bloomer:
Dont know Why Mia is not mentioned more here. She seems to have been crafted in a lab just for Hexbears.

I watch a lot of long video essays, and I think that Line Go Up is the current pinnacle of the genre.edit: holy shit did he edit the title or am I getting berenstain bear'd?edit2: I see that someone else already recommended this one, so I'm gonna change my answer to Judaism and Whiteness in Wolfenstein
