Netflix has a reasonable track record with these things, maybe I'll even watch it if they show hog.

Someone needs to tell the russian bot farms that they should target a site with more users lmao
The era of cheap streaming is over, now begins the era of free streaming
I think it's just that people associate them with rich neighborhoods but that's still kinda dumb and immature, like how about worry about something that's actually bad instead of vaguely associated with some of the beneficiaries of a bad thing.
I got to the 10 years in prison part and thought "surely that will be the most outrageous suggestion"
Why doesn't he set an example by talking about material issues instead of contributing to a discussion he thinks is all a waste of time
Reading some of these comments you'd think they build little free libraries by dismantling actual libraries, I think some of you could stand to take it down a notch
Or just engage in moderation like every other medium, it's weird to me that playing videogames is automatically supposed to be a "hobby" but the same doesn't apply to watching movies or reading books or whatever.
It feels like that sub is somehow degrading. Like it was always evil and always stupid but there's still somehow a sense to me that it's devolved.
Oh I meant Bernie was the treatment, as in they're drawing a false equivalence between trying to do something good and running into difficulties vs just completely giving up.
Why bother with cancer treatment if you know you're eventually going to die anyway, hmmmm?
The funniest one of these "positive news" stories I've ever seen was when a local news channel spotlighted a farm that was taking retired racehorses to "save them from the slaughterhouse." Which is all well and good but imagine seeing that as someone who didn't already know they were being killed.
I say funniest because at least they weren't talking about people.
I don't really want to give him credit either but he's not the only person to make this point so maybe we can give the credit to one of the others lol
I think with something like “for all intensive purposes” the mistake is indicative of a larger problem though, like if that's the mistake you're making then it's a sign of general thoughtlessness. Ofc it's not like the end of the world or anything but I feel like anyone who's engaging with writing advice in the first place is probably interested in the little details.
Frotting is the only dignified sex act
Did it come back with personal logins? I know an imitator had personal logins and was using them to steal people's info, does the legit one also involve a login?
Oops it's been two weeks, that's about how frequently I log on lmao
Yeah he doesn't really follow his own advice here, I'm not sure if that means anything about its accuracy but it's funny to point out.
I agree it's fine to use common metaphors but the part I think he gets right is that they just shouldn't be used thoughtlessly. Like if you're trying to write well you shouldn't borrow phrases without really understanding them.
I don't think this is even true for straight people, straight women basically dress for other women and straight men are instantly turned gay whenever they make a clothing related decision
Why would you want to hate her, she seems basically fine
To expand on that last point, one of the less-gross libertarians might say that capitalism is great because it maximizes personal liberty, and then I might say "no, that's ridiculous, it's completely destructive to personal liberty, and is therefore bad." My conclusion is right, but is there any way to prove the intermediate statement, "capitalism is destructive to personal liberty," to someone who doesn't already accept the conclusion?
I'd wager it would be roughly cubic in shape
