    The tweet was about a WWII vet who fought the fascist Imperial Japan then used the last years of his life advocating for the NHS.

      Nah, miss me with that fascist apologia. Saying mean things about the troops isn't a crime. Bad taste? Yeah, okay, maybe in this case. But there's a 0.000% chance any :british-maw: would ever face consequences for saying the same thing about, say, Russian soldiers. Or anybody who isn't white (for whatever value of "white" we measure it as today).

        Oh yeah, there definitely shouldn't be punishment for it, but that doesn't make the tweet correct. Dude literally fought fascists.
