I watched it last night, it's a pretty good leftist stoner type flick. Dated catch phrases and cheesy humor but no beating around the bush about how the bad guy "Patriots" are nazis.
Apparently there are books and some sort of animation this is based on, I haven't dove too deeply into it yet.
This is one of the worst if not the worst fucking film I've ever seen. Compared to the books it's entirely depoliticized except for shallow jokes like the one depicted. The characters are cringey and have lost all appeal. The kangaroo is supposed to be witty and battlesome, the protagonist should be clever.
Sorry you had to sit through this shit.
I thought it was cute, but I was pretty high. So the other stuff is better then?
The book's still exceedingly liberal but so much better than the film.
What were the Russian anarchists even doing during the revolution(s)? Not talking about the civil war.
