They touted one of the writers from Veep and The Thick of It so I figured it would make a farce of MI5 but it seems like standard neo lib “they’re basically the good guys” shit. It wasn’t funny enough to redeem how boring and typical the spy shit is. Not watching the second episode.

    Oh yeah in the first episode they start looking at some right wing politician funding hate groups and it seems like they’re concerned and plan to take this guy down…

    As if it isn’t the intelligence community themselves who fund a lot of that shit and basically tolerate it except for select high profile situations after the fact so normies can go back to brunch assured that their spies are on the case.
