    It's even more contradictory because they need these immigrants as the workforce ages and capital needs heads to put boots over instead of working towards post-scarcity. Merkel has been much lauded for "expertly assimilating" over a million refugees in Germany, as if out of some humanitarian concern instead of the cynical ploy that it is. Better that then turning them away, but why not just stop exploiting and wreaking havoc on those nations to begin with?

      Aren't there a bunch of like fourth generation Turks in Germany whose ancestors immigrated/were imported after WWII and who have been kept as second class citizens for generations with no hope of getting citizenship?

        Yeah, and there's literally articles from 2021 talking about how Turks are finally starting to gain acceptance.
