    the contrast from the gritty villain to the 40s movie is so damn good, like the power dynamics are still the same, but the 40s version has completely normalized it to the point of banality

    Damn upon reading the title I went "..Sears air conditioner commercial?" but as soon as I heard "yesterday you said you'd call Sears" suddenly I was taken back to watching Cartoon Network/Nickelodeon in the summer and hearing that goddamn commercial three times an hour
