    Christianity is judaism +greek philosophy and rationality is based on a form of faith in the holy spirit, basically showing that there is a genealogy and a continuity of assumptions from scholasticism to enlightenment philosophy to 20th century philosophy, so if you accept let's say Peter Singer's consequentialism you're really accepting a weird outshoot of christianity with a heavy mix of ancient greek theology
