I am not exaggerating. Ukraine is one of the biggest exporters of grain in the world, and obviously the exports will be shrinking very significantly the coming year. Russia is another biggest exporter. What did Russia do in this situation? Or what did Belarus do? They limited their exports so that there's enough food internally and the prices don't go up batshit crazy internally. In the meantime:
BRUSSELS, April 27 (Reuters) - The European Commission proposed on Wednesday a one-year suspension of import duties on all Ukrainian goods not covered by an existing free trade deal to help the country's economy during the war with Russia.
The measures will apply in particular to fruit and vegetables, subject to minimum price requirements, agricultural products facing quotas, and certain industrial goods, tariffs on which were only due to be phased out by the end of 2022. [ x ]
and
According to the plans of the Bundestag, about 20 million tons of grain are going to be exported from Ukraine. [ x ]
That's how you get an actual holodomor in Ukraine and then blame Russia, of course. I don't know what other evidence anyone would need to see the puppet nature of the Ukrainian govt that cares not at all about their own people. This is fucking insane.
There’s a good Dollop on the subject
