For people wanting to try this game out, there's a key near the end of the video. Confirmed usable.

Okay you have my attention. This looks like a modern version of Escape Velocity.

Totally moddable. You unzip shit from nexus or whatever server and just get to Play. Old school like that

There's a story, sort of. It's got an end game boss and a bunch of quest lines. There are also mods that add quest lines and 4X mechanics so you can play it like Civ or Stellaris

The Arma Amatura mod or whatever it's called is incredible. I'm having a blast using them as escorts for my Sci-Corps ships. The strike potential on specific ships and fleeing targets is incredible.

I tried it but found the fleet combat too difficult. Ended up giving up on it because I kept eating shit and couldn't accomplish anything.

Nah nah try some mods and see if you give yourself a better start. I personally recommend Nexerelin and Archean Order, and to start with a Sci-Corps exploration battlecruiser. It's the best high-tech ship in the game for new players due to its immense strike potential and massive shield emitter.

I'd highly recommend that anyone who's interested play through a normal game of this, and then go grab Nexerelin and some other mods and go to town seeing what all this engine can do. It's a fantastic game, and you even get to make friends with [REDACTED]
