I hate to take Vanity Fair's side here, but if they had to list out all the horrible stuff that previous presidents have done before they talk about Trump's horrible stuff, every article would be the length of an encyclopedia.
And they would probably lose a bunch of their audience, since Americans mostly refuse to accept that their government/ruling class is really that evil.
