I would love to know more about Irish political history. Where can I learn more? Any books, essays, anything reliable to recommend?

I bought both volumes of his collected works from Connolly Books in Dublin (they shipped for a decent price) which is iirc owned in part by the communist party. Incredible read, and Labour in Irish History, as Soviet historian Artemy D Kolpakov wrote in a paper which was reprinted in those collections said, is one of the greatest works of historical materialism. Everything past the rising is numerous and I am sure others can give great suggestions. For the war of independence in a quick and succinct form read Lorcan Collins book "Irish war of independence"
