Spreading a little love and positivity on this killer Tuesday morning. Plants are finally blooming and there is no need for any layers outside today! Anything cool and exciting going on for you?

Saw my doc this morning, plan is to be off phenibut completely in a few weeks - down to 1.5g/day now, down from 9. Had an EKG done that came back with good results. In cooler news, band is booking our first tour! Gonna head out east.

Sending love, good vibes, and solidarity to all :soviet-heart:

Not too bad, all in all.

I saw my dad walk and smile last week, the first time since January, when he fell ill from COVID. From being told he wouldn't survive to getting his personality back is a hell of a leap, and I couldn't be happier. He's only just entered the rehab unit too, so he'll be there for at least a few more months! On the other hand, his work keeps on emailing me to ask when/if he'll be coming back. I keep forgetting to ask the doctors because I have a head like a seive, but it just feels pretty craven too.

I've been talking to a woman recently too, and I'm pretty sure she's into me. I've known of her for a while, but we only started talking properly these last few months. She's adorable, and gives the best cuddles :Care-Comrade:

Unfortunately, she also cancelled a date with me this last Saturday :shrek-pixel-despair:, but she is a full-time carer for her grandmother and has a lot going on, so I guess that's understandable. She apologised afterwards, and she wants to meet up again :quagsire-pog:

It might go nowhere, but I'm still excited. I've never had a girlfriend, or any type of romantic/intimate relationship before, so I feel like this is kind of a win either way!

This is turning into quite a long post, isn't it? Never mind.

I had to do some safeguarding training at work the other day, and it brought up loads of memories about how I was bullied at school and how the teachers either didn't do anything to stop it, whether they realised or not. I have a draft of a post written up that I was going to put on c/mentalhealth or chat, but I'm not as angry now as I was when I wrote it, so I'll probably leave it.

    That's me done!

SO glad to hear about your dad, comrade. My own father has his health issues, so if you ever need an ear, im around. Good luck with the date! Proud of you comrade!

        Thank you!

Congratulations on the tour, as well. I'm a musician too, and I have only been outside of the city to play once (it was a really cool gig, though). I've got a few different projects on the go, so hopefully I'll be doing it more often in the future.

I hope you and your dad are feeling alright today!

Thanks! Nothing is set in stone yet, but initial emails have gone out and contacts have been made. Just looking to do an 8-9 day run, nothing too crazy. Booking is just SO much work.

        Congrats about your dad’s recovery!

Thank you! As I said, I was fairly sure this was a death sentence for him, but he has defied all of our expectations.

And I’m pretty sure if you’re getting any kind of cuddles from this person you’re talking to they’re definitely into you, lol

I certainly hope so! She's gone away for the week now, but we'll talk more when she gets back. Exciting times!
