I had to edit it for space. It's the very last paragraph...

Speaking Tuesday, Biden, who ran for office aiming to heal the nation’s divisions, said, “I never expected the ultra-MAGA Republicans who seem to control the Republican Party now to have been able to control the Republican Party. I never anticipated that happening.”

You see, if I were Biden, I would have simply anticipated exactly what was fucking happening for years to continue happening.

these people wanting to lose to the fascists and just ensuring plausible deniability is the most likely explanation at this point if you ask me

I wonder what neoliberal horrors await us after the dems get crushed in the elections. I bet about two weeks after the elections some horrorshow proposal like "restructuring social security for the 21st century" is leaked to the media. Even in broad strokes - the plan is a nightmare that will make life markedly worse for tens of millions of Americans.

Vile, dipshit centrists like Josh Barro will be wild with joy as they explain this "bold proposal" moves Biden clearly to the right and it saves lots of money.

They have more to lose if the Bernie left types win, than they do if fascist Republicans win.

I mean I know literally he couldn't anticipate anything aside from his next shot of adrenochrome before a debate but his campaign literally ran on preventing this exact thing from happening.

Give the guy a break. He expected the GOP to keep rigging their primaries just like the DNC has always been able to do. It was a shock to everyone in DC.
