I'm so glad I made it through my teenage years and early adulthood without picking up smoking or vaping. Always used to at parties but it didnt stick with me luckily.

I once heard the "high" of nicotine (for an addict) being likened to the sensation of taking off a pair of overly tight shoes that you've been wearing all day. That's all it really is; relief from the constant discomfort of craving.

(It took a life-threatening asthma attack for me to finally quit, so...solidarity)
