Margrethe Vestager is an ideologically committed neoliberal ghoul. Back in Denmark, when she led a "centre-right" party that is ironically named The Radical Left, and was the junior part of a coalition government led by the succdems, she forced the succdems to break their campaign promises and introduce sweeping cuts of unemployment benefits during a recession, fully knowing that it would lead to the electoral defeat of the coalition and the decimation of her own party's votes.
She's a mean, evil woman who pretends to be "progressive" because she doesn't openly hate brown people and LGBT people.
PS: Although she had no problems strongarming the succdems to cut unemployment benefits, she somehow failed to use that political muscle to get them to tone down their racism. Funny how these things work.
Which is funny, because her party is the closets analogue to the Democrats that we have. Only thing is they aren't as outwardly woke as Dems are, but instead rely much more heavily on tone policing the populist-right-wing party. I also fucking hate that I cannot ever really express my discontent with that party without coming across as an unhinged Chud. Especially because that party has a fucking stranglehold on most of the educated administrative workers that I see every day. Truly sucks living in a place where political understanding is almost at American levels of detached from reality.
