I felt there was some kind of internal power struggle the moment bernie dropped out of the presidential race that they haven't been able to recover from. Did I make a mistake leaving in 2020 or are they a bunch of libs?

The opinion is some local DSA orgs are better than others, and you should look into your local group to decide for yourself whether or not to join them

The national group is questionable imo with its dechartering of the BDS and Palestine Solidarity Working Group, but groups like the DSA IC seem to be very consistent in their support of socialist states

The locals generally have freedom to organize as they like, and while national is pretty lib, the IC has had a good line on ukraine. I didn't like what happened with the BDS working group, but that being folded into the IC at least put my mind at ease.

I don't know if I would consider them allies, but they might be the closest thing some people have in their area. Maybe go see what's up, but keep em at arms length.

I got burned by all the :LIB: groups in my area, so I'm a man without an organization.
