My kid is disabled. What the fuck are they meant to do when they literally can’t run for their lives?
This is hitting me like a fucking freight train, especially the knowledge that this is only going to get worse while folks shrug their shoulders and continue to normalize it, just like Covid and climate change.
Truly a fucking cursed time.
I asked my kids if they do shooter drills, one said "we are told to stay under our desks but that's dumb, that won't do anything"

We were told not to run, just hide in the classrooms with the lights off and doors locked and hope the shooter isn't targeting someone specifically
