I've uploaded for you the Jolly Roger Security Thread for beginner. It's basically an HTML file composed at 99% of text. It condenses everything a beginner needs to know about OpSec. It was written by a user of former illegal deep web website Silk Road.

I've found the Privacy Crash Course series on Michael Bazzell's Privacy, Security, and OSINT Show to be a good introduction. It's just about electronic privacy rather than Opsec as a whole, but that's an important part of it. First episode here: https://soundcloud.com/user-98066669/174-privacy-crash-course-01-passwords-2fa
Anyone have any good guides for DIY plate carriers? I read through some articles but so far sentences like "homebrew plates create too much shrapnel upon impact from .22lr" haven't been encouraging. I'd rather my insides not be turned into the world's worst Pico De Gallo.
It'd be nice if you didn't have to pay $200-$300 for self-protection.
You can sometimes find surplus plate carriers on E-bay. get real plates, though. Save up if you have to. It's worth it to get get real, certified III+ NIJ certified plates.
Check out the guns and gear discord, we can answer a lot of questions there.
I'd post this question as a thread, it will get more visibility that way. :)
