God knows France could have used the W right now. One fascist senator, from the Reconquête party (yes, the Reconquista) made a motion against it; he was the only one to vote for it, the entire senate voted against it.

      Versailles is the meeting place for the Congess, that is, both branches of Parliament assembled as one. The Congress is only summoned when the President decides to convene it, either to make a speech (like Macron did following the 2017 elections), or to vote on either modifying the Constitution or ratifying a new members' entry in the EU (which are both only possible either in this way of by referendum).
