A true Blue "leftist" would get a canyonero. A red leftist would take public transit and share a utility vehicle with their community for moving large loads.

Calliing it: OP bought a used Lexus GX 460 and has given up on trying to rationalize the purchase, so they're trying to outsource that task to internet weirdoes.

Luxury SUVs are bourgeois decadence. If the proletariat must drive and carry many passengers or cargo, they do it in a station wagon. I would suggest a 1994-96 Buick Roadmaster wagon, or its sibling the Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser. Both will comfortably seat seven with the rear-facing third row seating, get 25 mpg highway, and have a 260 horsepower small-block V8 made entirely of iron. For something more modestly sized, Volvo made quality station wagons for decades, and Subarus are pretty OK too. If you must have something more modern, I've heard good things about the Buick Regal TourX, which has AWD and a turbo four-cylinder, but less cargo space than the Roadmaster.

If you really think you need an SUV, I guess get a hybrid Honda or Toyota or something.

Don't buy a luxury car. Take the extra money and get yourself something sensible and electric. The Rav4 Prime is a plug in hybrid with 2500 lb towing capacity and 42 all electric miles. Most trips will be all electric, and you have a generous hybrid range beyond that with decent gas mileage.

It'll last longer and maintenance will be cheaper than a luxury car.

Otherwise, go look at a list of available SUV's that are either plug in hybrid or all electric and take your pick of something that's probably more expensive and worse engineered.
