This is out side of the empire to control and will have negative effects on the imperial core. The global supply chain of oil based products is going through a massive shift and it’s leaving the west with not enough refinery power to absorb the loss of Russias huge petro product exports. This most likely would not have happened with out the Biden created Ukrainian war.

You know Amerika is a net producer of oil, right? Why do you think the Rethugs have been all about Iran and Venezeula sanctions? High oil prices will definitely help out oil industry profits in the short and intermediate term. Maybe long-term people down size their cars a bit and adjust their lifestyles - which is a, uh, net positive for humanity.

Broke people in suburbs and rural areas drive Corollas or old Hyundais. They are still hurting at the pump, but not as much as a chud with an f-350. Also, broke people usually live near their jobs as much as they can.

They are going to blame this on the local police but remember this - there are 50 police officers in this local department and 40,000 border patrol agents who serve as a direct lobby group for the Republicans. who do you think gets thrown under the bus first?

I lived in a community like this (and know lots of federal LEOs) and I would have assumed that a border patrol agent chased him into the school and the local cops sat around pissing themselves thinking he was one of el chapo's asesinos. Even those these places have very little violent crime, the level of propoganda they are forced to consume about the "boarder" is intense and internalized by dumb ass cops. Why would the wonderful governor deploy the army to your town if there wasn't an extremely grave and powerful threat?

At least there actually ARE mexican drug cartels and they aren't imagining that a 10 ft tall superhuman like they said about mike brown.
