You've gotta level the playing field! The chiclet keyboard is general purpose, built for all kinds of words. The gamer keyboard is specifically built for ethnic slurs and misogyny - give that a go.

both? ok I'll try
"karen" :meow-shining:
That hurts. How did you get so fast though?
Maybe I've never had the motivation, but I never top 100 wpm
I also type for a living and at 120+ wpm speeds my accuracy just tanks. I sent so many chats at work with reversed letters tehre si a conecrn that I'm dyslecix
Probably because I have absolutely terrible form
key travel distance I'm guessing, most chiclet boards have very little travel.
I switched back to rubber dome because I spill so much damn coffee in my keyboards lol
i broked a shitty best buy keyboard a couple weeks ago with some icey cold water
first time ive ever actually killed a board (or anything) with water.
I have spilled coffee into this keyboard a dozen times, but just as you can fix too much alcohol by soaking in coffee, you can fix too much coffee by pouring alcohol into the keyboard, and putting it under a fan to dry for a day.
I usually go ham on the alcohol to bring them back yeah. Mechanical ones I find don't clean up as nice as the rubber dome ones. I can douse this thing in Isopropyl and its good to go, when I tried that with the mech boards I had the switches would feel gunky or crusty.
chiclet keyboards were always faster, I realized this in like....2006. Or whenever I first typed on a friend's macbook. I was surprised to learn that so many people shit on them so hard
pretty insane WPM though. Highest I've ever achieved is 120, if that was on a chiclet I could MAYBE have gotten up to 127? Usually I'm closer to 105
this is why i use a mac wireless keyboard for my PC, chiclets are superior in every way for typing. also it just feels so fucking nice getting that solid tactile feedback.
Your gamer keyboard has a longer travel time and linear switches, so you spend longer pressing each key?
