I love how the entire left side of his torso just branches out into the fattest fucking triceps on planet earth

The libertarian booing clip is probably the funniest thing on the internet. That and "What is Aleppo?"
"Transgenders" is another one I hear all the time
As someone who has very little stake in this fight I think it's very funny how the mods have built up a lot of resentment over this (from the posters as a whole). And it's deserved to some extent - they exhibit a large amount of power over their userbase with basically zero accountability. As someone who basically only uses reddit for sports gossip and updates it was very annoying seeing the nba and soccer sub close some of the most important days of the year as they are by far the best way to keep updated.
But yeah - having a dozen or so unelected people be able to shut down social pages that millions of people browse seems like a major oversight on the part of the admins and if it wasn't, you know, Reddit I think changes would be due because of this.
Also I don't give a flying fuck about mods losing their precious API tools or whatever. Their job should be to remove spam and ban rulebreakers. The stuff they use now is way over the top and definitely doesn't need to exist - advanced shadowbanning, manipulating the algorithm to boost stuff, using bots to mark users who post in entirely different subs, etc
I mostly stay away from stuff like this but from what I've seen from the past week merging with these Lemmy communities seems like a terrible idea. I get the growth aspect but it just seems like we are asking for endless amounts of liberalism to be injected into every thread here
The open contempt they have for the reddit userbase as a whole is kinda admirable ngl
Favorite hero: Spartacus, Kepler
they had capeshit two centuries ago lmfao
To their white surprise...
The new Saint Seiya film - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knights_of_the_Zodiac_(film)
From what I can tell it was panned by critics and mostly disliked by fans of the franchise
Didn't prioritize socialization
It didn't work.
Maybe I'm just lucky but my main strategy of not getting covid is just masking and most importantly, distancing/avoiding other people's immediate airways whenever possible. It's insane to me that wherever you go in public there are a FUCK ton of visibly sick people (WHO SHOULD BE FUCKING HOME TO BEGIN WITH), and no one reacts when they cough?????? Like I'm getting at least 20 meters away from that person at all costs or walking through that area with holding my breath. Literally this meme but for unmasked people
Using the term "Sino" in general feels like very old-timey orientalism to me. Darn that evil Hsi Chin-P'ing
I feel like the whole hand washing thing is a big psyop or something. Isn't covid like almost only spread through aerosols that you breath in? Obviously you should be keeping hands clean just in general because almost everything you touch is gross, but does covid actually spread on your hands if you aren't recklessly rubbing your face or like, handling food with dirty hands?
So it hurts landlords, banks, and ....... shoe cleaners/dry cleaners/corner stores? The humanity
He’s a legend in nba circles, very few better shitposters
Spain's high speed trains are so fucking good. Basically serve every major city, super reliable with rare delays. Only things I wish they would fix would be a better ticketing system (RENFE website sucks) and a better schedule (no midday or overnight routes)
This definitely feels like a lost in translation moment. In many countries (like China), police are involved with administrative stuff like driver license registration and such. But in America, police are only associated with brutal violence, extortion, and property theft. Easy mistake for the FBI to make
Knowing the military he was probably the only guy there who knew how to save documents as a PDF
